becoming

Welcome, forerunner. Thanks for going first. Here is how to get set up and send feedback.

get started
before you start

A few things to know.

Quick and honest, so nothing trips you up. It is early, so expect some rough edges and changes from one version to the next.

three steps in

How to test.

Step one

Install TestFlight.

TestFlight is Apple's free app for trying software that is still being built. Tap below to get it from the App Store. If you already have it, skip to step two.

Step two

Open becoming in TestFlight.

Tap below on your iPhone. TestFlight opens to the becoming page; tap Accept, then Install, and it downloads like any other app.

Open becoming in TestFlight Best opened on the iPhone you will use it on.
Step three

Give feedback, right in TestFlight.

This is what I am really after, and it takes two taps without leaving the app. The moment something stands out, whether it is clear, confusing, broken, or good, send it then, while it is fresh.

what I most want to know

Pay attention to your first run.

This is where I need you most: the setup, the first few screens, and the first real time you use it. You are out ahead of everyone else here, the first one through the door. Come at it like someone who has never seen it, because right now you are, and that fresh view is one I cannot get on my own. Send these reactions the moment they land, not after.

As a brand-new user
  • Getting in: was it clear? Signing up, signing in, the first tap. Anything that made you stop or guess.
  • The first screens: did you know what to do? Whether you understood what becoming is for, and where to start, without being told.
  • Your first real use: how did it feel? Calm or cluttered, obvious or confusing, too much or about right.
  • First impression, in one line. Before you overthink it, what did those opening few minutes feel like?

Thank you for going first.

That is everything. Install it, and send me what you notice as you go, the moment you notice it. Your feedback is what makes the next version better, and I read all of it. Glad you're one of the first in.

Let's do this together,
Terry
