The terms for walking with becoming.

This is the agreement between you and becoming. It is written in plain language because the things it covers matter. By using the app, you are agreeing to it.
becoming is operated by Becoming Labs LLC, a single-member company based in Oklahoma. Where this page says we, that is who it means. This agreement is the end-user license agreement (EULA) for the becoming app and covers the website at hellobecoming.app.
By using becoming, you accept this agreement.
When you create an account or use becoming, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don't use the app. You need to be at least 13 years old to use becoming.
becoming is yours alone.
becoming is a personal companion, not a social network. The people you add, the prayers you carry, and the reflections you write are private to your own account. There is no public feed, no profile other users can see, and no way for one person's content to reach another person inside the app.
What you write stays yours.
You own everything you put into becoming. You give us only the limited permission needed to store it, sync it across your devices, and show it back to you. We do not sell it, publish it, or use it to train anyone's models. When you delete it, or delete your account, it goes with you.
No tolerance for objectionable content or abuse.
becoming is built for formation and care. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to use becoming to create, store, or submit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or that violates the rights or safety of any person.
We may remove content that violates these terms and may suspend or end the account of anyone who engages in abusive behavior. Because becoming holds personal religious and relational reflections, we treat this seriously and quietly.
If something is wrong, tell us.
If you come across content in becoming — including anything the app generates — that you find objectionable, you can report it from inside the app (Profile → Report a concern) or by writing to support@hellobecoming.app. We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours, removing the content and, where a person is responsible, ending their access.
A personal, limited license.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use becoming on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Terms of Service. You agree not to copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the app's source, except where the law expressly permits it.
Where some of the words come from.
Scripture is delivered through the YouVersion Platform API and shown with attribution. becoming uses Anthropic's Claude API, from a fixed, curated prompt library, to generate your formation, relationship summaries, suggested reminders, and Pulse and Season reflections. Generated content is offered for reflection and is not professional, medical, legal, or pastoral advice. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
You can leave whenever you like.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account, which removes everything tied to it. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated, or if we must to protect the safety of people using becoming.
Offered as is, with care but no guarantee.
becoming is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it dependable, but we can't promise it will always be available, accurate, or free of error. To the fullest extent the law allows, Becoming Labs LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits rights that can't be limited under the law where you live.
Apple is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for becoming or its content. If becoming fails to conform to any warranty Apple is required to honor, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
If this page changes, we'll say so.
If these terms change in a way that affects you, we'll update the date at the top and, where it matters, surface a note in the app.
